Bodega Familiar (Family winery)

(Takes place Day 3 lunch, same time as the last post right before Matt is introduced to Ashley, Blossom, Jake and Justin. )

JD looked over to Matt "Hay Matt good to see you back. como fue tu viaje a españa ¿Pasaste por la bodega que sugirió IN?"

(How was your trip to Spain? did you stop by the winery I suggested?)

He said thinking he had not seen him much he did not even know him that well. He was friends with Conner and Courtney and that was good enough for him.

"Gracias." Matt responded. "España era hermosa. La bodega de su familia es genial. Mencionaron que le hicieron algunos cambios."
(Spain was beautiful. Your family's winery is great. They mentioned they made some changes to it.)

Matt had only met JD when he came to visit Conner for a week before leaving for Europe. He thought JD was cool even if he didn't know him that well.
March 15, 2021

JD smiled "Es bueno que te funcione." he said. (It is good that it works out for you.) he thought for a moment then witch to Italian. Hai visitato l'Italia? Spero che sia stato altrettanto buono. cosa ne pensate del vino della mia famiglia? (Did you visit Italy? I hope that was just as good. what did you think of my family's wine?) asked JD.

Matt nodded them heard JD switch to Italian. He glanced over at Rose who said to Matt. "He asked if you visited Italy. He hopes that it was just as good and wants to know what you thought of his family's wine."

Matt smiled at Rose. "Gracias." Then to JD. "I'm fluent in Spanish and French but not Italian. You lost me after you asked if I visited Italy. But to answer your question... Sí, siempre me encanta ir a Italia. Este viaje fue especialmente bueno porque además de ir a la Toscana, también pude ir a Venecia. El vino de su familia es excelente."
(Yes, I always love going to Italy. This trip was especially good because along with going to Tuscany I also got to go to Venice. Your family's wine is excellent. )

Now just speaking in English JD says. "That's great Matt. I did not know you well but Conner put in a good word for you. That was good for my mom and she called ahead. Now that you are back we need to get together later and talk. Maybe one day I can check out your family winery." JD said cheerfully.

"Well, thank your Mom for me and my family." Though he knew his parents had sent JD's parents something nice as a thank you, he didn't know what it was. It was nice to say thanks. "Maybe we can have the group come to my family's winery on one of the long weekends. My parents are pretty open door about my friends coming home with me." Just a thought for the future. It was about then that Matt heard transportation to the beach party being discussed.
