Melissa and Doug The Beginning
(Closed Post)
Cheerleading practice had ended and Melissa had gotten changed before heading back to her dorm room. She almost wished she didn't have a private room but it was all part of the agreement. Too much of a trouble maker to give a roommate to, she supposed.
Making her way out of the gym, Doug saw her and flashed her a smile. He was attractive and Melissa, being new, didn't know much about him other than he was a football player and part of the popular crowd. "Hi." She said.
"Hi." He said back. "I don't think we've been actually introduced. I'm Doug."
"Melissa." Responding back.
"So, Melissa you're new here?"
"Yes. I'm a freshman."
"Are you going to the beach party?"
"Not sure. Are you?"
"I was planning on it," Doug said. "You know you'd make the beach look a whole lot better."
Melissa grinned at him. "Oh, really? How am I not sure you don't just say that to every girl you meet?"
"You don't." Doug paused, looking into her eyes. "I promise, wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it."
She got a look at his eyes; piercing blue eyes. He was so attractive. She had to pause a moment. "You do, huh. Well, then I would hate to have you miss out."
He smiled at her. "If you don't have other plans. You want to get dinner someplace other than the cafeteria."
She was a little surprised by this offer but he seemed alright and she rarely turned down offers like that. "What did you have in mind?"
"There is a great Italian restaurant in town."
"Sounds good."
"I'll pick you up at 6 in the front of the building."
That made sense as he couldn't go into the girls dorm. "Looking forward to it. I'll see you then."
Melissa then turned and walked off and heard Doug walk off in the other directions. New record, first day and a date. This school might not turn out to be so bad after all.
