Going Around And Frustrated Geneticist

Thrass grunted at the crowd and decided on a different route, making his way through a back alley so he could cut off the odd group at the other end. It would have been easy enough to just follow them through the crowd, but he did not want the constant stares that usually turned his way. Having blue skin had gotten him known well enough by those in the market and he really did not need to be called out while following people.

Ghost felt uneasy as they traveled through the market with the others, noticing glances and stares toward them. She was accustomed to the intense stares of strangers thanks to her wardrobe choices, but the looks in the eyes of these people were different. She knew all they could see were her ears and the tail, possibly pondering what kind of genetic mishap she was.

Besides, there was the issue of whoever was following them. She had glanced back again to see the Chiss was gone and it made her even more nervous then she already was. Where had he gone? Or, had he given up?

That was when she saw him stepping out from behind one of the stalls ahead of them. Her feet halted, eyes darting to the blasters at his hips and the sniper rifle at his back. "Some help Keran was..." She hissed under her breathe.

Ring hopped off Serenity's shoulders when she kept shooing it away, feeling hurt by her dislike of it. Reconnecting its two halves, the weapon simply chose to hang behind Mira's head like a halo of sorts. Despite all of the noise of the market and everyone's discomfort, the droid was happy not to be around the ever annoying VT-L2 for once.

When she entered the lab she was quick to get to business. "So, my dear Jin'Lor... how goes the research? I do hope the test subjects I've provided you are up to your high standards?"

Jin'Lor jerked slightly and almost dropped the scalpel in his hand as he turned his gaze toward Liden. Frowning, he snorted and wiped blood on the coat he always wore. "I'm not your dear anything, woman." He practically growled out the words, agitation written on his face.

Letting out a heavy sigh, he glanced toward the large tank on the far side of the room where something was already growing inside. "This takes time...I told you that." He explained. Did she expect him to rush through the process of this? Building an immortal body was not easy and could easily be ruined by one false step in the process, but he was too tired to explain everything to this frightening woman.

"What do you want?" Jin'Lor asked and crossed his arms.
