Liden crossed her arms. "Don't worry. You will be provided with plenty of test subjects for your experiments. First, I am curious as to how you manage to heal so quickly..."

Jin'Lor stopped twirling his knife, gripping it tightly with the blade aimed down. "Someone likes to get right to the point, doesn't she?" He inquired before stabbing the palm of his other hand. Black, inky blood slid down along his fingers as he pulled the knife free. The moment the blade was out, the wound began to hiss and steam rose up from it as the wound healed.

Showing her his palm, there was no sign he had been injured aside from his odd colored blood. "I call it rapid regeneration. The science behind it is too complicated to explain, but know I have to build a new body to get the DNA working. There's also the factor of whether or not the brain I implant into the body is rejected or accepted. Not everyone is cut out to be an immortal." Shrugging, he licked the blood from his palm and fingers in a bored fashion.

A part of Jin'Lor was already regretting stepping onto this ship. The woman before him was going to start asking too many questions and he knew some of them would have to go unanswered.

Would he have to make a run for it again?

Sighing as he sheathed his knife, Jin'Lor offered Liden a forced smile. "Is there anything else the pretty woman wants to know?" He asked.

Mar was the first to get to his feet and head to the med bay where he found Ghost impaling Ryze with her lightsaber.

"Ghost!" Mar shouted more in surprise than anything. "What are you doing???"

Ghost had gotten up, pressing Ryze against a wall with one of her boot clad feet as she gripped onto the handle of the lightsaber. An expression of mixed despair and insanity was upon her face as she tried to move the blade up toward Ryze's heart and lungs, angry that his ribs continued to get in the way.

"I'm killing a monster!" She cried as the stitches in her left shoulder started to tear apart.

"Ghost..." Ryze choked out as he grabbed the blade of the lightsaber. It burned at the skin and flesh of his hand, leaving behind the metal beneath as he kept the weapon from moving further toward his chest. "You're opening the wound...stop that or you'll lose the rest of your arm."

"No! I hate you! I hate you!" She screamed and released the lightsaber to rip out the earrings she wore, throwing them in Ryze's face. "I hate you, I hate Creator, and most of all, I hate myself for being so weak!"

Green eyes going wide, Ryze grabbed at her face with surprising gentleness. "Don't say that, Ghost." He pleaded, a truly sad expression crossing his face. "Don't ever hate yourself. You can hate me all you want, blame me for every single thing, but don't you dare hate yourself!"

"Let go of me!" Ghost kept screaming and kicked at him until she was free, tumbling to the floor. Scrambling away, she shoved past Mar and went to find a safe place to hide on the ship.

She hated that she was crying again.

Sighing heavily as he watched Ghost leave, Ryze pulled the lightsaber from his chest and deactivated it. Looking to Mar, he frowned in shame. "I apologize for that...for everything, really. She is like this because I was not a good father and didn't treat her like a real daughter. I should have fought harder to...stop myself." He explained, figuring the cat was out of the bag already - might as well explain it all.

A part of Ryze still expected Mar to attack him.

Carla followed Serenity, glaring up at Keran with jealousy. She decided then and there that a rivalry was born between herself and the fox.

And then she proceeded to lay eggs all over the ship in odd places so that it would be difficult to find them.

VT-L2 ran to Quint and slammed into her leg, his sharp edges cutting into her ankle. "Wake up, Quint! We gotta go! Gotta go!" He chanted loudly to her. "Wakey, wakey! Quint!"
