Meeting The Jedi

Mira cocked her head and looked to Keran. "She's a clever one."

Keran hopped off of Mira's shoulder and stood up, looking at Serenity with clear intelligence behind the animal's eyes. "Indeed." He bowed to Serenity. "Good day to you, young padawan. I am Keran Jass... Jedi Knight. And this is my friend Mira." He gestured to Mira. "I apologize for the subterfuge, however it is critical I maintain my anonymity." A smile formed on Keran's face. "I am glad to see I am not the only Jedi left... Tell me young one, where are you from? Are there other Jedi?"

No doubt this was all overwhelming to Serenity, not just the number of questions this Jedi seemed to have, but that the Jedi they had come to find was a small fox.

"Easy there, Keran." Mira said as she raised a hand to silence him. "The poor girl's been through a lot. She's been captured by a ruthless bounty hunter for who knows how long. Perhaps we should ask if she wants something to drink?"

Keran nodded. "Yes, you are right. Well then, padawan? I'm sorry what is your name?"

Mar had been stunned by Serenity's force push and slowly recovered, only to see Carla spit acid at him before running off. Mar wasn't surprised, it was clear the chicken didn't much care for him, despite Mar's hospitality and general politeness towards Carla. No good deed went unpunished it seemed.

However the plan had worked and Mar consulted his tracker to see where Serenity and Keran had run off to. Mar had planted the tracker on Serenity's lightsaber, and hopefully wouldn't be noticed by the time Mar found them. He made a point of removing his helmet and casting some of the bounty hunter armor aside before continuing on. He wanted to look more friendly when he arrived at their hideout...

However it seemed Mar didn't need the tracker to follow Serenity. Carla was still leaving a trail of eggs everywhere she went.
