Eggs and Plan

Mar nodded. "Very well. We happen to have some eggs courtesy of our new crewmate." Mar looked down at Carla who had been curled up next to Serenity the entire time she had been sleeping. Mar went into the main living space and started to boil some of Carla's eggs. All the while explaining what it was they were going to be doing on Nar Shaddaa.

"If I'm going to train you, then I need the help of a Jedi to do it. It's clear that I need help in that area. So we're here to find a Jedi... probably one of the last in the galaxy... in the hopes of trying to get them to help me train you..."

As Mar sat at the table with Serenity and ate, he couldn't help but grow uneasy. A part of him felt horrible for not telling Serenity the truth. Even if it meant she would try to kill him, he felt he deserved to be punished for what he did to her. He tried to bury these feelings deep beneath a wash of memories and the subsequent emotions that came with them. He didn't want her to become suspicious. Peren had made it clear that her knowing at this point would be bad.

"It may also help me find more control on my... darker impulses." He shot her a meek smile. Ashamed of himself for his previous behavior. Once he was done eating he stood up from the table. "I'd suggest you go to the cargo bay and pick out a more appropriate outfit so you don't stand out like you did before on Jakku..." Then he smirked. "Though if you insist on wearing those Jedi robes then I can have you play the role of prisoner while I pretend to be there to cash in your bounty..."
