Flight From Jakku

Two TIE fighters descended from the cloud cover as Mar and Serenity sped across the desert. Mar could sense Serenity's rising panic. He sped up, hailing KC as he did.

"Could use a hasty pickup anytime now!" Mar said.

“ a-a tie fight Master what will we do we can’t outrun them and we can’t fight them” she said.

One of the TIE fighters was about to open fire when it exploded into a shower of fiery debris as the Void Swift suddenly appeared.

"DEEEET!" KT exclaimed as he brought the Swift in for a landing. Mar rode up the cargo ramp and locked it in place.

"Get us airborne, KC!" Mar shouted as he ran to the bridge. There was a sudden impact as the ship was struck by a blaster bolt from the second TIE fighter. Mar got to the cockpit as KC got the ship airborne.

Mar took the controls and started to race over the desert. Knowing that he needed to keep low to confuse the TIE fighter's tracking. Something he knew from his time as an imperial pilot. The Void Swift dove into a nearby canyon as the second TIE fighter fruitlessly fired several shots at it.

"WOOT WOOT DREEDLE DEET!" KC exclaimed.

"I see it!" Mar shouted as he twisted the Swift onto its side to avoid Star Destroyer debris that had managed to wedge itself into the canyon. Eventually the canyon opened up into more debris strewn desert and the TIE fighter was able to reengage them.

"WOOOOOOT!" KC turned its head to look at Mar.

"Now is not the time for your backseat driving, KC!" Mar growled as he banked right to avoid a barrage of blaster fire from the fighter. "How about you get on the guns and shoot it down???"

"DREEZ BEET BEET!" KC replied.

"I'm already beginning to miss the droid that humped my leg..." Mar muttered under his breath.
