I Can Be Your Hero

Mar regarded Rowan's statement with a shrug. "Funny talk coming from a bounty hunter who often is looking for trouble." He then watched Ghost try to slink off back into the cantina, no doubt thinking this was a prime moment to try and escape and avoid their questions.

"Oh my god!" A man wearing the tunic of a local law officer exclaimed as he pulled his blaster from its holster and aimed it at the group. "What is going on here??? Why are there Imperial Stormtroopers dead in the street? Is that a severed hand??? Are you--"

Mar took a step forward and waved his hand. "All is under control. You stopped a rogue group of stormtroopers from burning down this establishment. You are a hero."

The officer paused as the mind trick filled his head with visions of glory. He smiled. "I'm a hero."

He looked to Rowan again. "I think we should leave. We don't need any further attention, and we have to figure out our next move."

He then marched back into the cantina and found Ghost pretty quickly. "Look. You want off this planet, away from that Ripper guy? You have your ride, but only if you stick with us. Got it? Now come on, we have to go before more people start asking questions about what just happened." He then marched back outside and headed for the spaceport, gesturing for Serenity to follow with urgency in his steps as a crowd gathered around the now beaming officer as he recounted his glorious defeat of these horrendous Imperials.

"Yes, that's right! I'm a hero!"
