Necessary Evil

Mar turned to look at Serenity and saw the fear in her eyes. Then he looked back to the Stormtrooper. He relaxed and banished the darkness, pulling it back into the box he kept it sealed in. He looked to Serenity again but kept his lightsaber on the trooper. He was still angry about how she had tried to play soft with these troopers. "Serenity... This is life or death, these troopers were going to kill us... more likely me, and take you! Take you to the Sith... where you'd be tortured, and if you didn't fall to the dark side they'd have killed you too. Sometimes the best course of action is to fight! You can't keep standing by and blocking blaster bolts forever! You..."

And then Ghost came in and cut the hapless trooper down right in front of them both.

"Don't waste kindness on a fool that does not deserve it!"

Mar was taken aback, he hadn't expected that. Yet he also agreed with the girl's sentiment.

Still. This was an important moment. He looked to Serenity again. "You regret not being able to protect your master... yet you refuse to do what's necessary... You have to come to a decision, Serenity. Either fight to protect the ones you care for or sit by and watch them die... I fought to keep you safe. I made that choice. One day you will have to as well..."

Then he looked to the strange girl. "Wait... it's clear you're trained in the ways of The Force... Do you have a master? Do you know of other jedi out there? What's your name even?"
