We Need A Distraction

As she rises from her seat, that visible blue eye darts toward the doorway with worry. Fear shoots through her, worried she may have to fight, hands twitching toward her light sabers.

Mar felt Serenity tug his sleeve, he turned to her and saw the look in her eyes and sensed the sudden dark feeling that came over the place told him all he needed to know. "Apparently we are..." He said in response to Ghost's question. Then he looked to Serenity. "We'd better move. You stand out too much in those robes. We better..."

The patrons in the cantina all turned their attention to the front door as a small squad of stormtroopers entered, weapons drawn but lowered. The leader looked around at the patrons. Mar did his best to keep Serenity behind him so she wouldn't be seen.

"We're looking for some newcomers..." The lead stormtrooper announced to the bar. "Jedi to be precise. If anyone can point them out to us, you will be greatly rewarded."

"And what is it a lousy wannabe stormtrooper and his goons can give us?" A scaly scavenger asked from his bar stool.

"Credits, of course. The New Imperial Consortium is still a well funded organization. Enough to buy your own moon if you'd like."

Mar smirked. That was a dumb move for the stormtooper to make. Suddenly the bar exploded into a cacophony of voices as people raised their hands, claiming to know the location of a jedi. Most of them were false, of course. However it would provide a decent distraction to slip out unnoticed... Mar took Serenity's hand and started to weave through the people, doing his best to keep a low profile.

The bar was growing more disgruntled as patrons hounded the troopers, causing them to start shoving people away. In the chaos, one trooper ended up getting shoved into a table and collapsed onto the ground in front of Mar and Serenity. Mar froze, the trooper shook off the daze and looked to Mar... then to Serenity... then to Serenity's lightsaber.

"Jedi!" The Trooper shouted just as Mar seized him with the force and sent him sliding across the bar floor towards the rest of the squad, knocking them down like bowling pins.

"Run!" Mar said to Serenity as he reached for his lightsaber and made his way to the open door.
