The Sin of Selflessness

“ Rowan, please try to understand we are a selfless people Jedi speak to protect all those around him. It is the job of a padowon to learn, and protect there master. If I have been allowed to protect him then maybe he would still be here. To help you” she said. It was clear that Rowan was not going to get through to her at this point in time.

As Rowan spoke about plans to stay consealed wail looking for there ebony’s. “ What are we going to do Master” Serenity asked. She did not know and know better then to simply make a decision. It was her job to learn and protect Mar.

“Child! If you would have been there you would be dead, a waste of life. You know nothing of life you are still a child. you know nothing of the Mandalorian life yes it can be cruel, but we will give your lives with out hesitation for your Clan and your people and others we call friends. Your right I don’t know everything about the Jedi way but my secrete is my clan was specially trained to hunt down and kill Sith and Jedi I have seen what you force users do in the name of your force. So, don’t get high and mighty with me Padawan!” Rowan relaxes and takes a deep breath lets it out. He waves her off with his hand and walks out of the room towards his ship. “RED! We are leaving.”

Mar regarded Rowan's outburst with mild annoyance, he was trying to help but Mandalorians were a hard and harsh people. His approach had been like what Mar had tried before, and it wouldn't work on Serenity. A more deft touch was needed. However, Mar had taken issue with Serenity's insistence on self-sacrifice.

He knew all too well about the selflessness... His glance went to the necklace that was still in Serenity's possession. He grimaced.

"Serenity, I know you feel like you failed your master... But it isn't your job to protect me. It's my job to teach and protect you. I understand you feel the need to return the favor, but until you're further along in your training, you simply can't. So heed my advice and follow my instructions. As fort he plan, we must return to the settlement and gather information."

He felt a shadow in the force, a presence he hadn't felt since his early days as an Inquisitor...

"And we must be cautious... The Sith is here... and We need to find whoever it is and bring them down..." He put his hand on Serenity's shoulder. "I want you to get ready. We will be following Rowan to the settlement and getting the search underway. You can head back with him or bring whatever you have over here. I have a few cargo spaces I can convert to proper living spaces... It's up to you."
