The Eternal Watch

Each in turn they passed through the gate into Hel. Here on the other side it was neither cold not hot and their bodies while solid felt lighter, less real somehow. They found themselves armed and armoured as they were before and those who held magic could feel it waiting for their call though they could not shake the feeling that this place was a place of death and magic of that realm would hold sway here.
The all turned to see the body of Jorrik lying there this side of the mirror. And Tiella gasped in sudden realisation as she pointed at the reflected "real" world where Jorrik was gone. Their bodies still remained, but Jorrik it would seem was here, fully.
"Look."
The ground began to shake and motes of dust began to float down from above. A soft golden glow began to show around the body of their fallen companion and the sword which had been laid across his body rose into the air. The glow grew brighter and then in a sudden movement a hand shot out and grasped the hilt. Jorriks hand.
"Everyone get back." Balar warned as they watched the dead man rise, the golden glow settling onto his armour and infusing it. Jorrik was changed, he was still the same man but taller, stronger and more... present somehow. It was like his presence filled the room. Those familiar blue eyes looked out from behind his helm and he smiled.
"Jorrik is that truly you?" Tiella asked.
He stood now almost at eye level with Erik and looked down on the others. the sword he held the one Claigari had named Hofund was grasped in his right hand, its blade thrusting downwards. When he spoke there was sadness in his voice,
I AM JORRIK NO LONGER, MY TIME WITHIN THE MORTAL COIL HAS SERVED ITS PURPOSE AND DELIVERED ME HERE AT THIS MOMENT
"Then who the hell are you?" Majvoc asked as he edged towards the door.
I AM HEIMDALL the warrior announced and as far fetched as the claim might sound here at this time it held the ring of truth.
"How?" Balar breathed as he dropped to his knees, am Aesir, a god!
RISE MY BROTHER Heimdall said as he walked forward RISE AND KNOW THAT A GOD NOW FIGHTS AT YOUR SIDE
