Cold Camp

As they walked the wind grew stronger and the snow deeper. They were wading knee deep now and the temperature was dropping. What they had in their possession in the way of warm clothing had been handed out, but some of their number were ill supplied for such conditions.
Balar called the group to a halt. Majvoc had stalked ahead earlier in the day as was his habit and he would return once his mood had cooled. It was growing dark now and there was relative shelter in a nearby depression between to hills. A great leaning boulder overshadowed by a frozen tree laden with snow. It was not ideal shelter but it would have to do for this night.
Balar snapped some branches from the tree, finding the wood dead and brittle. It would take some drying and give poor heat but it would serve. Silently he went about the business of creating a fire. Tiella moved among the others checking for wounds both Luna and Garand were sore from their various ordeals and slumped gratefuly to the ground under the shade of the boulder.
Dyvia and Erik set about sorting through their provisions and readying some sort of meal. They would need to be sparing with their supplies now as there was no guarantee of a meal between here and their destination. Jorrik sat near the first sparks of the fire joined by Miles and drew his dark Valkyrie blade which stared at intently as if to divine its dark secrets, while Kespin disapeared behind the boulder and releaved himself noisily.
After a time they were gathered around the meager fire eating a small but well appreciated meal. Balar looked at the new faces, Garand and Miles and considered them both, he would have to tell them, to give them a choice in all of this. The Dwarf Radis after all had seen their purpose or at least part of it and had chosen to leave.
"Before you go further with us you should know something of our business." he said in a low voice. Tiella and Luna looked at him sharply wondering what he would say, but he raised a hand towards them to still their words, "It is only fair. We travel now to seek a Necromancer, we seek his aid willing or not to gain entrance into the realm of Hela. We tread a dark and dangerous path and at the end of it we may find only death and despair. Garand you came to us by the twist of chance and Miles by a cruel twist of fate, I can not deny that i see purpose and hope in out meeting and the swelling of our company, but the decision must rest with you. Where will your path lead you...?"
