Yet Again, Felled

Garand gripped his bloodied still too in his hand, limping over to the spot where everyone had congregated. His breath was heavy, and the numbness that allowed him to stand was fading. He looked down upon the man, clad in armor with a shield above his head and he was seemingly frozen solid. There was a bright glow, and Garand shielded his eyes. Then the sound of shattering, like glass, or ice.
When Garand looked back, the new stranger laid limply on the spot where he once crouched, the shield was no more.
"How peculiar," Garand muttered. He gritted his teeth, his numbing spell had worn away, and Luna's was almost depleted as well. He wouldn't be on his feet for much longer.
Luna then went over to the man side, examining him, and proceeded to request her spell book. Garand himself moved to help her but was dumbfounded upon seeing some sort of ghastly shadow appear and hand it to her. Could she always do that? The prospect of having some seemingly borne straight from the depths of Hel following them at every moment was not exactly comforting to the Half-Elf. Perhaps the Elven girl wasn't quite as innocent as he once thought. But of course, he should know, Elves never were.
Luna completed her spell and then proceeded to collapse, and on cue, Luna's numbing spell finally gave out. The pain was too much for Garand to bear, and he hissed as he collapsed to his good knee.
"..blast.." He muttered, hand on his leg to try and sooth the pain. He felt he had one good charge left, and it might've knocked him out, he decided to take his chances and fight through the pain.
Seconds later, the stranger rose to his feet, and Garand took notice of his face, which seemed to have seen much better days. Garand's view was cut off when he placed his helmet back onto his head. He introduced himself, and the Half-Elf looked around at the others, to see who might speak first.
