Found but not wanted....yet

Theo was quick to join Dim at the tracks, looking them over with less wonder than his dwarven companion. Only a few days ago he would have been singing through the trees in search of a village, but now he was concerned with an obvious question.
"If there are people here, why haven't we been found?"
Erik finally caught up, doing his best to stealthily move trees out of his way. Thankful that there was room for him to kneel, he looked at the tracks.
"If there are children to protect, then we have been found. Our hosts just haven't deemed us a threat. We should make this hunt quick and return to the others."
