====The Border Forest, nearish to Radogast, 0 DSTR====
Erik was scouting the path ahead of his new master and murderer, who was some creep that his old boss, Adisla Styliane had asked him to follow. It was amazing how quickly life could take a turn for the worse. Per his new master's desires, Erik was advancing in a swift zig-zag in order to scan as much ground as possible. Not too long after he got started (or was he an 'it' now? Erik probably didn't have any reproductive organs anymore), Erik detected some lifeforms not too far from him. Upon getting closer to the scene, Erik recognized the signatures of the woman that had been traveling with his new master, her horse, and some other sentient guy.
Erik's sensory receptors were not anything at all like they had been in his previous body. He couldn't see, hear, taste, smell, or feel anything. Instead, he just... sensed stuff. Erik really didn't understand how it worked yet, but he could somehow detect where things were in relation to himself and react accordingly. He could also feel strong emotions as well. This is how could sense the hostility between the guy and the woman on the horse. He could also sense her fear.
Erik dutifully relayed this information back to his master. After a few moments, his master sent back an unexpected order: Rescue her.
His master had been the one being a dick to the woman not that long ago, so Erik didn't really understand why he wanted to help her now, but, whatever. After a brief examination of the scene, Erik came up with a plan and circled around the people until he was about 10 yards (9.1 meter) behind the man attacking the woman. Once he was in position, Erik launched an ice blast at the attacker. The ice probably wouldn't hurt the man all that much, but it would likely grab his attention.
A few moments after launching the first blast, Erik launched another one, just in case the guy didn't get the hint.
