Lets Make A Deal
“I did not witness said fight, I am not usually awake before the setting of the sun.” Glumly said after taking a generous sip of the wine. “This is a lovely wine.” With that said, others of the fey flittered closer, settling about them with small cups ready to receive the drink. “So I cannot say as to why they attacked. However, I may be able to show you to where they camped, for the right price.”
The small pixie next to Glumly nudged him and nodded. “You gave your word, now undo the charm.”
The puck grumbled and waved his hand as if undoing some unseen knot that was before him. “Very well.” The little man took another drink and wiped his mouth with the back of his sleeve.
The huff and dubious look from Kline made it clear that he did not trust the little sprite. “I am not used to paying bribes or ransom. So count yourself lucky, little one.” He stopped and nodded, looking at Kalena. “Just so all of you know. I might have been persuaded to part with a bottle of wine if other manners had been employed.” He stood tall and strait, looking around at the small audience they had gathered.
“Do not mind him, he does nothing with good manners, it is his way.” A voice chimed in from the masses.
Glumly stomped his foot on the barrel. “Enough of that.” He snapped, glaring at the chittering fey that glittered around him. “Now, what might you have to offer?” The question clearly pointed at Kalena. “Do not bother answering, you Ox, I want to hear it from the Lady.”
Kline took the bottle from Kalena as she was to talk to the little man. He started to fill the little cups, a drop her and there was all that was needed. The fey started to fly all about him, swarming with a hum.
