A simple creature

"All right... Thank you..." He truly was grateful that Ceriden accepted his rather unpleasant nature and even seemed to be willing to help him control it. Despite of knowing this, it didn't make him feel any more confident than before, neither did Ceridens comment; "Some other creature in this forest will appreciate the free meal.". It was the word creature he particularly noticed in this sentence. And of course Ceriden was right. Gareth was no better than any of the other primitive creatures roaming this forest. He might be dressed and able to talk, but that unfortunately wasn't enough. His only hope was that Ceriden would be able to help him change this.

He kept his head down in shame and just waited for Ceriden to decide where to go.
