Brainstorming A Legend
Posted byPosted: Nov 10, 2017, 11:32pm
(OOC- Jaxx, interesting plot! I was not expecting that lol. I'm not sure how successful this wicked plan will be at framing Kalena for crimes she did not commit, but for fun, I'm going to try to make it a bit harder for her to account for her whereabouts, starting with this post.)

OOC: Hey Nim, Rosemary is on board with being set up to take the fall. It may not work out perfectly, but we can raise a bit of chaos in the kingdom when the nobles can't trust each other once they find out a "shapeshifter" can infiltrate their ranks with ease.
Suggestions to make it interesting:
1) Jack in disguise can break the arms and legs of the slavers and strip them of their supplies to arm the rebels while posing as "Kalena Valade who supports the rebellion now". Also while getting ready to kill them we can pretend Dale guards are coming to fight them and flee leaving them alive to tell the tale. Without money, equipment, slaves and a healthy body they are as good as dead to anyone they owe money to. We can have a spy or two leave "Evidence" at Kalena's house to incriminate her.
2) Then on other missions he can reveal himself as a "Hero" to the slaves when away from the slavers with a "fake identity" we can make up together. This will make him like a "Robin Hood" so we need to come up with an ideal "Hero"
3) Then he can spread lies about the nobles making a move against the Queen to the slavers to cause a bit of Chaos. We can make it about greed or a move for more power. Hec we can even pin it on Verden financing the rebellion. This would make it interesting for many parties involved.

Auriel pondered Jack's plan for a few moments as they continued to ride. "Hmm... its an interesting plan to be sure, but I don't really know how well it will work. Even if you can pass off as Kalena or Oruvand, and the slavers do effectively describe their attacker, there is no garantee that the authorities will come to the conclusion that those individuals were responsible for the attack. From what I know of Kalena, she basically has everything a woman could ever want, and Oruvand is a mercenary with a history of supporting law enforcement. Neither of them really have a motive for attacking slavers and freeing their slaves, which is what I would like to do. Also, while attacking the slavers and letting them live will hurt their cash reserves, they will still probably continue to enslave people. I'm thinking that unless those two prove to be serious obstacles, we would probably be wise to put your plan on the backburner for the time being."
"Remember what I said when we first met not too long ago: We're here to provide hope to the slaves. We want them to know that there is a hero that cares about them. For now, I think you want to show the slaves that you are that hero. I want to try to recruit the slaves that we free, but I'm not going to forcefully enlist them. If some of them don't want to fight for our cause, then I will let them do what they want. There is a chance that some of them might end up telling law enforcement what happened, and I'd rather try to keep it a secret from our enemies that you are able to shape-shift."
Auriel frowned slightly as she continued. "Also, running a rebellion isn't exactly cheap. I kind of want to take all the slavers' armor, weapons, and coin if I get the opportunity to do so."
Jack: Hmmmmmm........To be honest if we tell them I am a hero I will become a major target again and that would be bad for me, LeLu and you as well if they find out we are siblings.
LeLu: What did you have in mind?
Jack: Well with my magic I can become anyone I choose to so rather than me being the Hero you need, how about we create the ideal "Hero" you want to move the hearts of the poor and downtrodden. This way the kingdom army will be looking for a ghost they will never find, while we safely walk out in the open in this kingdom. All we need is a good look a good costume and some choice words to move the slaves and put fear into the slavers. If we play it out right we can even plant evidence at a few homes of the nobles to make it look like they are sheltering the "Hero" to stir up some internal conflict. That would keep the kingdom from dedicating all of their troops to looking for us. However I will need the help of both of you in the deciding details of my new look and attitude. Since we have time to figure it out before our first mission how about we brainstorm a bit.
LeLu: What is brainstorm Jack?
Jack: When we think of different ideas to contribute.
LeLu: Oh I see. Well I think the Hero should be handsome and bold. If he has charisma he can attract the attention of others.
Jack: True but what would be considered handsome by kingdom standards? That and which race should he be?
LeLu: Oh good question Jack.
Jack: What do you think sis?
