Holding the ground
When the wraith approached the horse it nervously backed away and she struggled a bit to keep it calm.
She might have known that Ceriden had been interested in the book from the beginning, but it hadn't occurred to her that he even valued it higher than gold.
"How do you..?" She stopped herself from revealing more, though she wondered how he could know this. And this was far from her biggest worry right now. She had just created a very dangerous situation, but only for herself. Now she needed to decide if she were to hold her ground or let Ceriden have it his way, and she needed to make that decision fast.
"No. You have to help me, but I can't give you the book." She knew it was a risky choice to be this stubborn, but it was a necessary risk. She really couldn't return home without the book and it was too dangerous to give away. In addition to this, if she didn't appear determined enough she would risk them loosing their respect of her and they might even just steal the book later.
"And regarding Gareth, then I don't believe that he will harm me. Think of everything I've done for him and now I've even given him his freedom." She said confidently, though she wasn't sure if this was true.
Gareth wasn't sure of what to do. He wanted to help Ceriden get the book so he could continue being on good terms with him, but at the same time Sabina was right. She truly had done a lot to him and now that he apparently had been set free it would be an ungrateful act if he attacked her. On the other side; her original plan with him was to use him for her spell and she wouldn't have feed him, given him clothes or anything if it hadn't been for Ceriden. Actually when thinking of it, she had been just as bad as any of the slavers he'd been owned by. Maybe it really would be easier just to kill her and then take the book? After all, she was just the same as all the other bad people.
Gareth looked at Ceriden, waiting to see what he decided, trying to figure out what he wanted.
Sabina could see how Gareth was keeping an eye on Ceriden. It made her nervous, but she tried to hide it.
(OOC - Feel free to kill her if you want to. I've got multiple scenarios planned if she lives or dies ;) )
