Auriel frowned, wondering if she had misinterpreted the man's look. She looked at the turquiose-eyed elf and asked, "This is the man that rescued you, right? Serana saw you come into the village, and though she didn't recognize your companion, I can't help but think that the man that rescued you would not abandon you so soon, and instead..."

Auriel snapped her fingers, casting a spell that would dissolve his glamour. To her surprise, his appearance did not change at all. She began to feel the first pangs of doubt. Maybe this man is not my stepbrother. Could he be someone else?

Her confidence in her assumption that her newest stepbrother had arrived had been shaken. Struggling to conceal the desperation she felt, Auriel asked, "Uh, you wouldn't happen to know Aello Nahema would you?"

(OOC - Serana is one of the slaves that Jack rescued along with LiLu. She had originally tagged along with the others as they made their way to Verden, but a Rising Star recruiter caught up with the group before they made the trek across the border and informed them that Verden would not take the non-humans in the group. Serana, who happened to be a half-elf, decided not to try her luck in Verden, and she instead took the recruiter up on his offer to join the Rising Star.)
