At My Mercy

Oru fired a shot, but was just a second too late, as the man instantly darted off. The bounty hunter growled, staring at his bolt, which was now enbeded in the wall in front of him.
The man had grabbed someone as he went, someone that Oru hadn't noticed before. A hostage? A captive slave? Either way, she was in danger, and that ment Oru would have to be more careful.
He scanned among the waves of people, before spotting what was now his prey. The man likely thought he could lose him in the crowd, but Oru had eyes on him the entire time. The problem was that the waves of people made it hard for him to keep up. He then spotted a drain pipe, before using it to scale the nearby wall.
Of course he'd get nicknamed after an animal, with his Primal approach to everything. Perhaps Black Monkey would be more appropriate, but if anyone called him that, he would likely hunt them himself.
Using the rooftops to his advantage, Oru simply had to follow the trail of commotion. Of course, he couldn't shoot blindly at the crowds of people, so he would have to either take the Sheriff's advice and be tread carefully, or get this over with as quick as possible.
Oru jumped from roof to roof, the sounds of feet stomping and people shouting guiding him. Eventually, he was led to the edge of town, his target was running for the woods. Oru couldn't help but chuckle. It was in the woods, hunting animals and monsters, where the hunter had gotten his skills. The half-elf was practically at his mercy now. A few soldiers with keen eyes darted into the woods behind the man, but they wouldn't be able to keep up. Oru stood where cobblestone met soil, before removing his shoes, they would only slow him down. He then scaled the nearest tree, jumping from branch to branch as if he was some sort of animal himself. The others began to slow down, scanning the treeline for their target, but Oru could see the trampled grass, the spots of unusually bare earth. He looked down the the guardsmen.
"Don't get in my way," He called down at them. He heard a scoff as he continued into the heart of the forest.
