A major setback

Sabina turned towards Ceriden, looking at him in disbelief “No.. He.. He can’t be..?”. This was ruining everything. She took a step backwards and turned her back to both of them, struggling to hide her disappointment. Of all the types of creatures why did it have to be a vampire? Everyone hates those disgusting leeches and yet now she was responsible of hiding and feeding one of them. The mere thought of this made her feel sick. But worst of all; Now she had to find another one suitable for the spell. This wasn’t at all going to be an easy task.

Her mind was overflowed by thoughts and questions like these. It all started to seem as though this was an impossible task. But she couldn’t give up. Not now. She clenched her fists and forced herself to only focus on one of these problems at a time. “Fine… And how exactly do you suggest that we get him to this alleyway?” she asked without any emotion left in her voice and her back still turned towards them. From what she’d heard about vampires, especially the hungry ones, was that they were extremely dangerous. And even though they were two people to handle him, that might not be enough, despite his poor condition. In fact, it had to be pure luck that he hadn’t already eaten her or her horse.
