“What I know is that I must go first, and you can’t let go of me. You need to also stay physically attached to your horse. Moving slowly, her heartrate started to rise and adrenaline moved through her veins like wildfire. It was just like when she rebelled against her parents.

There are some things that should be informative in terms of this rebellion. One, it was very short lived. Two, she has been a bore ever since. Three, this ‘soiree’ she attended ended in one of the Dukes being slaughter by her father.

The split in the oak began at her knees- just low enough for her to step into. Being only inches away from the opening, she could just barely see the sunlight gleam over roof tops. The view enchanted her, until she stepped in. Her body went numb and she wasn’t sure if she still had hold of Artem. Clenching her hand, it was more of a prayer that she was. Blackness engulfed her in a way that filled her gut with dread. And then, there was light. Her lungs filled with air providing a cold rush throughout her body, and her throat to expand grasping for more of it. Her mind just now began to catch up with the lack of oxygen she had been receiving. A different place, filled with different sounds, and different smells put an overload on her senses.
