In Theory
"What excatly do you think could happen to him when he gets through that portal?" Her facial expression morphed into a helpless look, with a shoulder shrug. “I can lie to you if it would make you feel better?” Looking back at the portal, and swapping gazes between it and Artem. “All I know is that it can make you a bit fuzzy brained. Especially on the first travel. It alters your senses for a moment, and can cause disorientation. The only reason why you and I can restore our grounding, is because of our understanding of space. We will be able to adjust ourselves- eventually. It only takes about 5-10 minutes for us. I just really don’t know how a horse is going to be able to ‘remind’ itself that they didn’t just die and go to heaven.”
Watching him gaze at the portal provided a giddy sensation. “Well I would. Duh. These kinds of portals can only be activated by specific beings- which is probably why you have never noticed them all around you. Specific portals take you specific places. They are created by the fae, witches, warlocks, elves. The only way people know about where they will be brought is by someone telling them where it leads; otherwise it is just a mystery portal.” Walking around the tree, and standing on the other side of the portal, she moved out of his line of vision. The portal since being activated, no longer cast an image of transparency.
“But you don’t want to just travel through portals, hoping you get lucky. It destroys your senses further if you can’t even grasp where you are going.” Looping back around to Artem and his horse, she smiled. “It could be possible that since your horse doesn’t have an understanding of his surroundings the way we do, he won’t notice a difference at all!”
