No one gets left behind

Artem just smiled a little at her way of avoiding his question, excatly as he'd expected.

Arriving at the tree, he too dismounted the horse. He looked a little at the portal. It didn't really look as he'd expected, not that he was sure what excatly he'd imagined, but definitely not this. "No, I've never even seen a portal." He answered. When she then turned to the subject of the horse, his smile dissapaired and a much more defensive side of him started to show "I'm not leaving my horse here to be eaten by the beasts of this forest. And if he can't come through the portal, then I'm not conning either.". To him it was simply unthinkable to leave the horse, especially at a place like this.
