Introduction

Ceriden looked at the woman critically, wondering what exactly she needed. Most people in Dalen knew where to find magical services, so Ceriden suspected she was not from Dalen. Verden perhaps? Either way, Ceriden himself was very competent with many forms of magic, so there was a good chance he could help her, and maybe make some coin while he was at it.

"Oh, if that is what you need, I happen to be well versed in many types of magic. Perhaps I can help you with this spell." To prove his point, Ceriden waved his hand, and the woman's map folded itself up.

"I am Ceriden Malkaan, by the way. I am an itinerant scholar of magic. Learning how magic works and how to use it is what I do. I specialize in telekinesis, as you just saw, electromancy, warding, medicinal magic, and... telepathy." The last word he whispered into her mind without moving his mouth. "Hopefully I should be able to help you, and I am a quick study if your spell doesn't happen to fall into any of those catagories."
