Asking for Orchard Aid

-Dalen Capital, Rooftop Garden, Early Morning 3 DSTR-

He was worried he had missed her first, the garden seemed so serene and quiet. He could get lost in the life of it, the pure simple existence of it. It reminded him of his days when he was studying with the druids, walking in the forest. Drinking in the wilds and with dreams of weaving spells. He was younger then, and innocent, over half a century ago when the world was a very different place. When magic was more pure and simple as well, now it was complex, everything was more complex, simple answers were for simple people.

He was not simple.

When Orla appeared she was not what he expected. He half expected a crazy looking woman with twigs in her hair and covered in dirt with dirty rags for clothing, if she wore clothing at all. Here she was looking as presentable as any noble woman in the court in her yellow frock that he could not tell she was working in the garden in, not a bit of dirt on it. For a moment he thought she may be human but the small point of an ear through her blond hair dispelled that.

“Orla?” He said and gave a bow of greeting. “I am Randal Cratwright. I was wondering if I could seek out your assistance in a matter having to do with a local farmer.” He asked in a tone he knew from his bard days with a soft lilt to his voice as to be pleasing to hear, almost musical. “It has to do with apples, and an orchard in a dire need of magical assistance. Normally I would not seek out such aid, but I fear it is needed to help save the place.” He told her softly.

“You see the one who owned it, he did not cherish the land as he should. You are likely to know that the land we take up takes us up as well, and our soul becomes part of it.” He explained and stepped a bit closer, the eyes meeting hers, framed by the locks of red hair. “His soul became sick, and that sickness spread to the land. It needs to be healed, and I have come to seek your aid.” He reached out a hand to take hers. “Will you entertain me as I petition you for your services?”
