The conversation begins
---- Verden, a small town outside Skeldergate Forest, early evening, 547 DBTR ----
It was unusual, and even considered inappropriate, for anyone to initiate a conversation with a royal, so her directness surprised Nate a little. Of course they were far from the capital and this woman was clearly nothing more than a peasant so he didn't blame her for doing so. To be honest it was nice to experience this more relaxed attitude and for once have the chance to speak with someone from outside the court.
He looked at her with a soft smile "Well thank you. I am very much enjoying my time here.". In this way he avoided commenting on her first and more controversial part of the conversation which wouldn't be appropriate for him to talk about, especially not with the likes of her, though he might like to.
Then she surprised him once again, this time by extending her hand towards him while curtsiesing as a greeting. This was too far from his comfort zone as he rarely shook hands with anyone, even when greeting nobles. Almost knowing what to do he just ended up staying seated, still smiling in a friendly manner as she introduced herself "It's a pleasure meeting you, Orla.". It really was nice with the oppotunity to speak with someone complely diffrent from all the others at home and she even seemed to be reasonable enough despite being a peasant.
He decided to take a chance and continue the conversation. "Feel free to take a seat. I don't mind a little company, unless of course you have some place to be.". He definitely didn't want to force her to stay if she didn't want to, though he knew a lot of people would feel obliged to do so and then only be saying the things they believed would please him.
(OOC - No need to apologise ;) )
