Let's Get Down To Business

-Dalen Capital, Evening, 1 DSTR-

Isai waited for Auriel to rouse herself more from her drowsy state before starting down the roadway that led deeper into the capital and towards his home. He was not one to have a bodyguard, but it was never a bad idea to have one if you were traveling around the city at this time of night. However, a sleepy bodyguard was worse in some ways than having none at all. Allowing her a few additional seconds to compose herself, he started down the street with an ear out for trouble.

Crime was not rampant and free in Dalen, but the point of arrival into the city was always the most dangerous place in regards to robbery and assault. Once they were through the gates into the upper levels of society, the need for a bodyguard would disappear and Auriel would only be needed as a friend. Looking over his shoulder at her, he spoke up as she kept up with his pace, "Keep an eye out for any brigands who would like that meat you carry. It will be dinner for our evening, so cherish it." Flashing her a slight smile, he led her further.
