Niples "Queen in trouble"

Who: Seymour Niples + Queen Brittany Royal
Where: The Blue Dwarf
When: As the Hymenoptera retreat
Seymour and the Queen strolled down the Promenade's top balcony,
trying to ignore the fighting underneath. Security grunts fought
large manic Hymenoptera insects with their bare hands, and usually
died trying. More of the cleverer ones kept running into bars to
fill up with pints of beer, to run out again and throw them in the
warrior bugs faces.
One of the not-so cleverer ones saw this as a good plan, and ran
into the bar opposite Parrotts called "T-totals" and came out to
throw a pint of Kaliber over an insect, only to discover the only
effect it had was to make the bug wet, and then promptly ant to eat
him. Which it did.
Seymour chuckled up above. "Oh how I love to see natural selection
in action." He said.
"Oh Seymour do we really have to walk here? This place is so
disgusting!" the Queen whined like a spoiled brat.
"I'll get you off this ship as soon as I can your majesty."
"And make sure you're snappy about it, this place hasn't even got
any decent clothes shops. I browsed around one today, and all the
dresses were under $£900!!! I ask you, is that any way to live?!"
"Yes, one has to rough it on a starship. The Marks and Spencers here
is rather small and doesn't even stock fresh Hoi-sin, and the things
I have to do to get proper Moroccan tajine spices!"
"You mean you cook yourself!" Said the Queen in disgust. "We must
discuss your salary so you can get a servant!"
Seymour clasped his hands together. "Excellent!" he said quietly.
An officer in a flight-deck jumpsuit powerdived off the promenade
balcony and drive his elbow into a Hymenoptera's face, making its
several hundred eyes pop like small gooey balloons.
"Even if I could get off this space-age equivalent of a council
estate, where could I go?" Asked the Queen. "Earth looks like it
will be imminently invaded or destroyed by Hymenoptera!"
"Don't worry we've faced a fleet of Hymenoptera before and
survived." Seymour said, although the memory of their battle
simulation stuck in his mind, where they'd all been killed by the
Hymenoptera, and a fleet had finished off the ship.
There was a pause in talking as they continued down the Promenade.
"Seymour, I'm bored. Entertain me."
Seymour froze and panicked. The Queen was demanding, and so far he
hadn't really seen the full power of her moods. But like so many
members of the Royal family before her, she relied on the members of
her court to provide her with entertainment or things to do. Most
notoriously was Queen Elizabeth I who if she wasn't properly
entertained would call for people's heads to roll.
Seymour gulped, and wished he was one of the security officers
below. Fighting a spider 3 times your size might have been easier
than entertaining a spoilt brat like the queen.
"We could go… open a hospital… or… RUN!!!"
"I'm in no mood for jogging right now. I have someone who does that
kind of thing for me-"
"No I mean get out of the way!!!" Seymour yelled, trying to pull her
to one side into a juice bar, as a Hymenoptera from below went on a
rampage. Security officer Jack Febuggure below fired after the
insect with his automatic laser machinegun. Wounded, the creature
started to climb onto the balcony above, climbing walls easily as
spiders do. The wounded spider charged past the Queen, and snagged
her expensive handbag, dragging her along.
"Let go of the handbag!" Shouted Seymour.
"Are you SERIOUS?" She shouted back. "This is a very expensive
custom-made Prada! Only one of a kind now as your crew destroyed my
last one!"
She pulled back, but the Hymenoptera pulled harder. Its hundreds of
eyes scanned the long Promenade for means of escape, and one
presented itself quickly. The monorail that runs from one side of
the Promenade to the other passed by at this moment and the large
spider jumped onto the front, clinging on with ease. Queen Jennifer
was dragged along, dangling off the front of the speeding monorail
by her handbag screaming.
