Not necessarily - you always have second thoughts about things like
that. You never do ever stop loving someone completely...
IC:
Who: Johnny, Guinevere, CJ & Eric.
Where: Pheonix and Space Eagle.
Keats had helped Guinevere prep the Space Eagle, showing her the
ropes, while Johnny flew the Pheonix and waited for the other three to
catch up in the Space Eagle.
Johnny had only been in the Pheonix a couple of times, and Jay hadn't
even let him look at the controls, let alone touch them. Johnny knew
it was good, but was amazed at how responsive the controls were, and
how good the acceration was.
"Okay, I'm punching in the co-ordinates now." Johnny spoke in the com,
as they were heading to the planet under distress. Johnny tested the
Pheonix by flying a couple of loops and other semi-fancy moves.
As they neared the planet, they saw the Raven screaming past them,
heading back to the Blue Dwarf.
"Dean, what's up? Are you guys okay?"
"Yeah, we're all fine here - mission completed and we're heading home."
"I thought you asked for help?" Johnny asked.
"I thought we were low on fuel, but Efof had broken the gauge."
"Oh, okay, we'll escort you back, sir."
Dean felt pretty good at being addressed 'Sir' - in fact, he always
felt good if he wasn't being addressed as 'smeghead' or 'clutz' or
something like that.
"Er, wait a second, Johnny," Dean realised, "but why are you flying
the Pheonix? Are you nuts?"
"It was Holly's idea, seeing as Jay isn't using it. Plus, if he saw
it, his desire for it might override the Hymenopteran's control over
him." Johnny said. 'Or he might blow it up.' Johnny added to himself.
The Pheonix, Space Eagle and Raven each landed back aboard the Blue
Dwarf. As Dean, Efof and Mk 7 exited the Raven, Johnny heard a cough,
as Dean ran back to the door and opened it, as Queen Brittany exited
the ship.
