Night shift:part 4

Who:John Baily,Evil-looking monster-type thing
Where:Onboard Blue Dwarf somewhere
When:11.35pm
Previously:On Earth,Scientist Jack Doyle had created his own
mutant.It had amazing speed and incredible strength.Unfortunately it
escaped from the lab,murdered Jack,and had already killed thousands
others before it was captured and sent away from Earth in a
pod.Landing on Blue Dwarf,it had an entire crew to
devour.Eventually,the only survivors were Gaurd John Baily and a
skutter.The beast approached them but John threw a fire extinguisher
at it and ran away.The beast gave chase...
Important:The crew were actually still alive inside the Evil-looking
monster-type thing,compressed down so they were absolutely tiny.They
only had untill midnight,when they would be excreeted by the
monster,a process which would kill them.John Baily didn't know
this,and was more occupied with saving his own worthless skin anyway.
John belted down the narrow corridor with the skutter not far
behind,constantly making frantic bleeping noises.John could hear the
Evil-looking monster-type thing cming.It's roar was getting louder
and louder.He was never going to make it.The sweat was rolling down
the gaurds forehead.Then he saw it.There was an Xpress lift up
ahead.He was saved!He ran towards it,and franticly jabbed the button
about twenty times.He could see the Evil-looking monster_type thing
charging down the passageway.He didn't have long.Ten seconds max.Nine
seconds later,the lift doors sprung open with a friendly "ding!",and
John Baily and his robotic associate leaped inside.As the doors were
just about closed,They saw the horrible looking arm lodged into the
gap."AW CRAP!!"screamed John,but he needn't have worried.The doors
managed to pull themselves shut,leaving John with a huge green,slimy
limb.Naturally,he threw up.
11.45pm,armoury room
John had finally made it to his destination,the armoury room.He broke
down the door with his foot(the effort of which made him brake his
foot),picked up a bazookoid from the nearest shelf,and then dropped
it onto his already painful foot.He wasn't the kind of person who
exercised much.He eventually managed to hold his weapon,and stepped
out into the corridor,followed,as always,by the skutter.Now all that
was left to do was wait.He didn't have to wait long.Five minutes
later,a one-armed monster stepped out from the elevator shaft.He did
not look pleased...
