*Action Post* - "The End..."

Who: The last people alive, Dean, Dante, Eric, Keats, Jay and Seymour
Where: Lower levels, climbing up a service access shaft to the Drive
Room
When: After everyone else had died

Jay nodded. "We're gonna set this ship on self destruct and get the
hell
outta here, c'mon lets head to the drive room, Dante.."
"Yeah?!"
"Youre my new second in command.."
<end snip>
The team tiredly pulled themselves up a ladder.
"Its useless, we're too far away!" Said Seymour.
"Shut up and climb!" Said jay. "That's an order from your Captain."
"Acting Captain!" Reminded Seymour.
"Do you see anyone higher qualified around?" Said Jay.
"I used to be captain…" Said Seymour.
Dante turned around on the ladder and gave Seymour a stern look to
be quiet.
They came to a trapdoor above that opened onto a corridor on the
flight deck.
"Dean…" Said jay, helping people onto the new deck. "The Raven is
parked in the hanger ahead isn't it?"
"Yes not far."
"Okay, get to it and prep it ready to launch. We may need to make a
quick escape, take Keats too."
Dean and Keats left to prep the Raven, Jay, Seymour, Dante and Eric
found a lift shaft they could climb up to the Drive room.
"More climbing?" Complained Seymour.
"Too tough for you?" Said Dante.
"No, not at all, I can take it, of course I can!!" Said Seymour, and
climbed.

Who: Dean and Keats
Where: Shuttlebay
Dean loaded some equipment into the Raven. If they were escaping
they may be days before rescue without food or water.
Keats powered up the vessel from the pilots seat. He checked the
sensors.
"Dean… come look at this quick!!"
Dean came over.
"Look at these sensors…. We have company. I don't know how they did
it, but the Hymenoptera have called for backup. Theres a massive
Hymenoptera ship on its way here."
"ETA?"
"Half an hour at most." Keats said with a stern look.
Dean sighed in annoyance.
"I guess it wont stand by and let us escape."
Keats shook his head. "When have you ever seen the Hymenoptera do
that?"
Dean looked around. He saw a missile warhead laid in the corner of
the shuttlebay.
"Listen… I know Jay told us to stay here…. But how long will it take
them to get to the Drive Room?"
"20 minutes I reckon. Another 20 to get back."
"Okay… heres the plan. What if we load the Raven up with missiles….
The most we have. Then we fly out there, fire them all at once,
destroy the ship and come back to pick up the rest of the team.
Problem solved."
"Sounds good to me!" Said keats.
They both started loading the Raven up with the biggest missiles
they had.

Who: Seymour, Jay, Dante and Eric
Where: Lift shaft
Jay lead the way up the long ladder through almost pitch darkness.
Without warning, a Hymenoptera leaped from the darkness onto the
ladder above them. It slashed at jays arm, causing him to loose his
grip with one hand.
Dante was quick to pull out his weapon and shoot. The bug fell into
the darkness beneath them.
Jay grabbed onto the ladder again, then swung himself to a nearby
ledge.
"Are you okay?" Asked Dante.
"yeah, it just slashed my arm." Said Jay. "I'll be fine."
He tried to climb again but shouted in pain as he used the arm.
"I think maybe you better go on without me!" Jay said.
"We're not leaving you!" Dante said honorably.
"Why not? We don't want him to slow us down!" said Seymour.
"Its alright, I'll meet you in the shuttle. Here take this." Jay
gave Dante a data disk. "It has the codes on to self destruct the
ship."
"Don't worry, we'll make it." Said Dante. Him and Eric went on
ahead. Seymour stayed behind.
"What are you doing Seymour?"
"I'm not going ahead when I don't have to. It'll be safer in the
shuttlebay!" Seymour said stubbornly.
They climbed down, jay's arm held strong as long as he kept going
down, and not up.

Who: Keats and Dean
Where: On the Raven
The Raven launched from the Blue Dwarf's shuttlebay. The large
Hymenoptera mothership loomed close.
They headed directly to it.
"Okay ready to launch missiles." Keats said. "Just keep us
straight….."
The Raven lurched left.
"Straight dammit!" Said Keats.
"Sorry. But we're under attack. Lots of fighters!"
The fighters pelted the Raven from one side with shots of sticky
goo. The screen was covered before they knew it.
"Keep us straight!" Shouted Keats.
"I can't see a thing!" Called Dean. "I really don't want to hit
anything with all this amount of explosives onboard!"
They spiraled through space, flying blind.

Who: Dante and Eric
Where: Drive Room
When: At the same time
"Yes made it at last!" Said Eric. He looked around, people had long
since fled their posts. He looked out of the window. "Uh oh,
trouble!" he said, seeing the Hymenoptera ship.
"Which is more trouble?…. the Hymenoptera or the Raven heading
straight towards us?" said Dante.
"Ah, oh yeah……"
The Raven hit the Drive Room at full speed and caused a fiery
explosion that obliterated the top of the ship, almost splitting it
in half. As the explosion died down, it looked as though something
had taken a massive bite out of the colossal mining ship. Further
secondary explosions rocketed down the Blue Dwarf's spine.

Who: Seymour and Jay
Where: Promenade
As the two reached the Promenade level, The explosion threw them
both to the ground. Shop windows on the Promenade shattered and
light fixtures sparked and fell from the ceiling.
"This is too early for the self destruct!" Said Jay.
"Something else must have hit us." Said Seymour. "I think we're
under attack from outside."
"Great time for it!" Said Jay.
Another explosion happened further down the Promenade.
Outside, the Hymenoptera mothership had fired up its weapons and was
firing a thick long energy beam at the Dwarf. The ship shook and
rumbled until the continuous beam had cut its entire way through the
ship. It stopped firing as if to admire the giant hole it had made.
It began firing again, making another hole, this time it continued
to fire, even after another hole had been punched through, instead
it slowly turned, making a massive slice through the Dwarf, cutting
it open like wire through cheese.
On the ship, Seymour and Jay saw the bright beam of light coming
down the Promenade towards them, destroying everything. They ran
away, down the Promenade as far as they could go until the very end.
They backed up against the wall. They were trapped.
"What shall we do?" Said Seymour.
Jay looked around and at the approaching death beam. "Well Parrots
is still open, shall we have a pint?" He said sarcastically.
The beam got closer, obliterating Parrott's…… and then them.

Jay looked around. All he could see was white. And Seymour.
"I must be in hell, you're here!" Said Jay.
Seymour rolled his eyes, and looked around.
"So how did you think that went?" Asked Jay.
"Well… I thought the storyline was predictable and the ending was
just way too over-dramatic."
"Overdramatic?" Asked Jay.
The Grim Reaper appeared in front of them pointing. Seymour
sighed. "Okay, we get it, game over! How do you end this program,
I'm starving!"
The whiteness faded away to the dull colours of the AR Suite.
Everyone was there watching them. Efof, Phil, Tara, Amber, Alota,
Eric, Dante, Jack, Keats, Johnny, Kara, Keto, Cerebrum, Melissa,
Python and more who were looking bored.
"About bloody time you finished!" Said Alota. "Some of us have been
waiting hours for you to finish!"
"Well you shouldn't have let yourself get killed then!" Said Jay,
kissing his wife, thankful she wasn't really dead.
Jay patted Dante and Eric on the back, they had been removed from AR
a minute before Jay and Seymour.
Dean and Keats came over. "erm…. Well sorry about that. I thought we
were doing the right thing…"
"It was you who blew up half the ship?" Asked Seymour.
Dean smiled nervously. "Sorry."
"Sack him, sack him!" Said Seymour. Jay pushed him back, and Dante
covered his mouth.
Jay clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. He noticed Alota
looking at him, he'd forgotten he wasn't acting-Captain
anymore. "Sorry." He said, backing down to see if she wanted to
address the crew first, but she stood aside and let him speak first.
"Everyone, let this be a lesson to all of us. This was a very
difficult training simulation, and we all had to make some hard
choices. Think about the choices you made, and how you can improve
upon them. In real life, there are no second chances. So I hope
everyone has learned something through this experience."
Everyone mumbled together and walked out of the virtual reality
suite.
"Oh," added jay. "And drinks are on Seymour".
There were cheers of delight and Seymour grumbled
<OOC- So it was all a training simulation all along, no need to
worry! Everyone is alive and well! All can get back to normal…. If
It ever was!>
