Xmas Special, part 2

After singing Satan to death, Jack and Melissa returned to their
room, where they both collapsed virtually on top of each other, and
fell asleep straight off. An alarm in Jacks alarm was set for
midnight, The nano's setting it so he'd be the only one woken up by
it. Melissa went out like a light straight away, Jack also, but at
midnight, was woken up by the sound of a ringing in his head...
Not having had much sleep, he stumbled out of bed, trying to
remember why he'd got himself p at such an insane time. He turned
to look at Melissa, lying there serenely. Then it hit him like a
train. He walked over to a cabinet. Opening it, he removed a small
case, took a deep breath and stepped towards Melissa's side of the
bed.
"Melissa, sweetheart, wake up, I've got erm...I've gota question to
ask you" said Jack nervously, stuttering slightly.
She woke up, and rolled over to face him, "what? it's tired, i'm
late..." she muttered, almost falling back to sleep again.
Jack looked into her eyes, and made sure she was awake, before
kneeling down in front of her, and pulling the box from his pocket.
Melissa's eyes opened wide as she watched him open it. "Melissa, in
all my life i've never met anyone like you..." he began, trying to
get through his nerves, he stopped for a second, and took a deep
breath. "Will you marry me?" he asked.
"Holy smeg......" she said, open mouthed, staring at the gorgeous
diamond ring in front of her, "I don't know what to say.....".
"well, you could say yes.." Jack prompted.
"Or no......" she said pushing the ring away and rolling over, she
then turned around and literally jumped into Jack's arms, "Of course
I will!"
As she turned away, Jacks heart fell, he felt as if someone had
thrust a knife into him, but seeing her smile like she did, and leap
into his arms brought it all flooding back, he picked her up, and
kissed her. "I love you" he said softly.
"I know that already" she said, Plastering him with kisses. "Im in
shock" she continued.
Jack let himself fall to the bed, still holding onto Melissa. He
lay there, staring into her eyes in the dimly lit room, watching the
sparkle, the reflected light from under the door to the rest of
their quarters. Jack thought to himself 'i am the luckiest guy in
the world'.
