**Action** "The Devil Gets Out"

Who: Perkins and the Devil GELF
Where: Blue Dwarf Engineering Control
When: Just as power is restored
Perkins the odd looking little goat with the face of a man stuck his
head out of an engineering bulkhead and spat out some wiring he had
in his mouth. He had been working on trying to restore power himself
and now it looked like someone had beaten him to it.
He turned nervously as he felt someone behind him. It was the Devil.
"Nice work Perkins!" Said the devil boldly stroking his goatee. "Now
that power is restored, give me access to the Wormhole Drive- the
Universe has been calling out for me for too long!"
Perkins rewired a computer console and typed frantically on it with
his clumsy hooved hands. "I'm trying sire, but someone is trying to
install a firewall and anti-virus protection at the same time. I'm
blocking it…. Done….. now where do you want to travel to? We have 10
seconds to enter the destination coordinates before the computer
locks me out."
The Devil's eyes narrowed. "Enter these coordinates…"
From the outside, the Blue Dwarf's forward ramscoops sparked with
energy. Sparks shot forward from them and opened a huge swirling
wormhole in front, which sucked the Blue Dwarf through.

Where: Science Labs
When: Before the Wormhole Jump
Seymour picked up a new weapon, it looked more like an inverted
hoover. "So, Mr Nameless Science Dude….. if THAT is your real name…
what does this do?"
"Be careful with that!" Said the scientist, as Seymour waved it
around in a very self-affirmed way. Seymour posed with it and
pretended he was doing a photoshoot with the weapon.
"Aim it outside for god's sake before it goes off!" Said Amber.
Seymour took it to the now well lit corridor that Dante had lit with
his first weapon. A zombie was just turning the corner a few meters
away towards them.
Seymour fired the weapon and a thick stream of ice shot out and
covered the floor underneath the zombie. It starting slipping and
skidding on the slippery ice surface.
Amber sighed impatiently. "You're not aiming it right, give it to
me!"
She shot it directly towards the zombie, who was covered in the ice.
After a few moments of spraying, the zombie stopped still, frozen to
the spot.
Seymour rushed up to the frozen corpse and prodded it with his
finger. The zombie started to crumble into ice fragments and snow.
"It looks like we may get a white Christmas after all!" Seymour
quipped.
Suddenly the ship lurched.
"That felt like a Wormhole jump!" Said Seymour. "But I thought we
were dead in space!"
Amber looked out of the window. "We were… to supposedly stop the
Devil GELF from getting out of the centre of the universe."
"Well? Where are we now?" Demanded Seymour.
Amber pointed out of a porthole. "Earth."

Who: The Devil GELF, and Perkins
Where: Walking down a corridor towards an un-maintained area of the
engineering deck
When: After the Wormhole jump
"I don't understand… what's going on?" Asked Perkins. "This isn't
part of the original plan!"
"Be quiet you strange little man… er… animal…thing." Boomed the
Devil. "I'm about to reveal all." He lead Perkins through a hole in
the wall, they came out in a large open space.
"You see when those annoying little living-beings were chasing me
around the ship, I came upon this. It appears that a few months ago,
the Hymenoptera took over this ship and tried to infiltrate the
Space Core. The annoying crewmembers managed to get rid of them, but
never really checked every room on the ship. It looks like this
section was just sealed off and forgotten about…. Which is a shame
because it contains a nice BIG secret!"
Perkins jumped up and down excitedly in anticipation. Then he looked
towards where the Devil was pointing.
"Is that…. A huge egg?" Perkins asked.
"Perkins you stupid fool! Remember I have seen many dead
Hymenoptera, I know they are a very intelligent and resourceful
race. Just watch this!"
He fiddled with a heating setting on the wall and the entire room
got warmer.
The egg started to shake, then glow a bright ruby red. It started to
expand in many directions before breaking. Long green shoots, like
vines shot out of the egg, they wormed their way around the room and
up the walls, more shoots spread further, finding ventilation
shafts, doors and even cracks in the walls to expand through. They
continued to spread through corridors of the ship, through more
corridors, into many rooms, and out through airlocks onto the
exterior of the ship where many shoots wrapped around the full
length of the entire Blue Dwarf.
The shoots thickened. From inside the room they were in, Perkins and
the Devil watched on a computer monitor as the vines spread around
the Blue Dwarf like a fast growing weed.
On the exterior of the hull, four bud-like objects formed and
blossomed into nasty wormlike cannons. While a fifth and much larger
one continued to grow down the centre of the ship.
Satan looked pleased with himself. The vines formed together to form
a high throne for him. He rised high above Perkins, who remained on
the floor.
"Is this… one big Hymenoptera lifeform?" Asked Perkins.
"Don't ask questions if you won't be able to comprehend the
answers!" Said the Devil. "Now get to a window and watch this!"
Satan put his hand on a vine of the thing that had grown from the
original egg.
Outside, the four cannons swirled, then rapidly fired large bolts of
green energy at Earth's planetary defences until they were all
nothing but floating rubble.
"Not bad!" Admitted Perkins. "Now when do we get to see some proper
killing?" He smiled, causing the Devil to laugh loudly and manically.
"Soon enough Perkins, Soon enough! The main cannon will be able to
take out the entire Earth's population in one swift big blast!"
Perkins was awed. "Do it! Do it!" He said Excitedly trying to clap
his hooves together.
The Devil closed his eyes and touched the vines again. He seemed to
be telepathically willing it to work for him.
After a minute he sighed. Then boomed his answer with his impressive
voice. "Unfortunately it takes 3 hours to charge up that kind of
energy. We'll have to wait for now."
"Meanwhile Perkins, regroup the undead army and keep those bloody
living Humans away from this room!"
