Two Trees

Who: The Big Pink Tree, Python, Bonzai Boy
Where: Outside the Recruitment Office
When: During Shore Leave

The Big Pink Tree bounced along the corridors of the Blue Dwarf,
feeling rather depressed.
Dr Keto was away helping Lawrence Trisees, as far as it knew. The
other doctor Keto (which the Tree had a hard time thinking of as the
"evil" Keto) had vanished, presumably after being switched back into
its robot shell. The Tree was a little unclear on that point - all it
knew was that one of the Keto brains and the robot body had vanished,
and that the Keto body had the good brain in it.
The Tree wasn't too good at putting two and two together, so this
was an effort for it.
Unfortunately, as a Tree rather than a registered crewmember, it
turned out to not be entitled to shore leave. Probably nobody would
have minded it leaving the ship, but the Tree had some abstract notion
that rules were important, and so it was spending its time exploring
the ship.
*Rustle,* it murmured to itself as it bounced along the corridor
outside the recruitment office, just as the door opened and Python
stepped out...followed by Bonzai Boy.
The Big Pink Tree stopped dead in its tracks...well, roots. There
was another tree. Another, walking, tree.
There was an immediate crisis of identity. How could there be
another walking tree? It wasn't even pink! It was green, and brown,
and like other trees, but it was walking...
THIS MADE NO SENSE!
The Big Pink Tree shivered faintly as it struggled to comprehend a
world with another walking tree in it. And then things took another step.
"Hey, look, a pink tree," said Python, pointing towards the Big Pink
Tree where it stood shivering.
"That's weird," acknowledged Bonzai Boy.
And with that, the Big Pink Tree fell sideways against the wall.
The other tree...could TALK!
*Rustle...* it managed.

OOC: There you go James, thought I'd introduce Python and Bonzai Boy
to the other resident plant on the Dwarf - the Big Pink Tree.
Basically it's big, it's pink, and it's a tree. It's intelligent and
can walk (bounce) around, but it can only talk in rustles...which only
staff in the medibay can understand. But if you want Bonzai Boy to be
able to understand it and translate for Python, I'm happy with that!
