Melissa Harris, the joys of fatherhood....

Melissa walked into the Dwarf, after having a quick conversation with
a security guard, she discovered where her new quarters were, and
went around the ship for a while looking for them, eventually, she
found them , packed all her stuff away into the wardrobe and
drwawers, and went for a walk.
No sooner than when she stepped outside was she pleasantly suprised,
she closed thedoor behind her as she left her room she turned to look
at the door on te right hand side of her room, and she was shocked to
discover that it said, in large bold writing, "Chris Harris,
Navigation officer, JMC Blue Dwarf", Her step-fathers name.
She walked up to th door and knocked, the door was opened to Harris'
new quarters, and a very much alive Chris appeared at the door.
"What do you wan...." Chris was interrupted halfway throught the
sentence as Melissa flung her arms around him. Chris looked at the
coffee cup in him hand and then looked at the girl that had just
flung her arms around him, a sudden realisation reached
him, "Melissa?" his bemused face turned to a smile and Melissa let go
of him.
"DAD!" she screamed as she once again flung her arms around Chris.
"I was just going to get a drink, care to come with me?" asked Chris
"yeah!" smiled Melissa.
So together they walked out onto the Lunar station, and went to the
nearest clothes shop, where they bought about £2000 worth of clothes
between them, (I think Chris needed them more somehow) and they then
went off to a pub and had a quick drink, before getting a shuttle
down to New york, where, to their amazement (it shouldn't have been
really if you think about it), they entered another pub, to find Jay,
Phil, Dean and Jack sitting at the Bar.
"Hey guys" shouted Chris as he entered the bar, he pulled himself and
Melissa up a chair and sat down with them.
Melissa blushed and looked towards Dean and smiled at him, Dean
returned the smile.
"Guys, this is Melissa, my step daughter" said Chris as Melissa waved
at the four other men sitting at the bar with her step-father.
"Melissa this is Jack" she smiled
"This is phil" she smiled again
"This is Jay" she smiled again
"And this is Dean", to whom she gave a feeble little smile, a small
wave and then looked away, her face red as a tomato.
