Jay looked at Trisees and shook his head. The bump to his head must
have totally rewired his head. They entered the lift and Jay hit the
button for deck 24.

Rufus jumped up and grabbed the sill of the duct. Looking inside the
metal tube he saw part of Trisees lab coat caught on a rough piece of
metal, it was charred and burned. There was no sign of him. Rufus
dropped down and sat on the floor shaking his hands where they had
singed from the hot metal ducting.
"Smeg." He tapped the ear piece and got only static back. "Smeg."
He repeated as the realisation that Trisees had died saving him sunk
in. "Stupid smegging man." He shook his head and stood up again,
heading for the trubolifts and the medi-bay to get his hands and face
looked at where they had been burned and scraped respectively.
As he approached the medi-bay his deep thought train was halted by
the loud protesting coming from inside the room. He thought he
recognised the voice, he shook his head. Trisees had died it couldn't
be him. As he walked into the room Rufus took in the patched up
equipment, it hadn't taken long for the crew to get the medi-bay to
an operational, if basic standard. Looking around, he saw the beds
with injured people and in the far corner of the room toe source of
the disruption. Trisees was protesting loudly to anybody that would
listen that Rufus could be hurt and someone should go look for him.
"Sir?" He said, forgetting that Trisees couldn't hear him. He
walked over to the older scientist and tapped him on the
shoulder. "Lawrence, is that you?"
