Smith and Kara were drinking and chatting in Parrotts when a lone TB
rushed up to Smith and began yanking on his pantleg. At first he
assumed it was Kara, but he soon realized both her arms were on the
table.
Meanwhile, Kara was begining to get a bit worried, since Smith
hadn't passed out yet, that meant she migh need to make an excuse to
get him out of Parrotts before 8:00 (or was it 9:00).
Fortunately for her, Smith made his own excuse (he's quite adept at
that) and reached down. The TB began making small squeeking noises,
not quite unlike a certain midget...
At any rate, Smith couldn't understand it and (Lassie-style)
realized it want him to follow.
Now here's a paradox (or was it a quandry?): On the one hand you
have endless drinks and a beautiful woman who actually likes you,
and on the other we have a potential rule-breaker that needs
apprehending. Difficult indeed.
"Urm...Kara..."
"Yeah Smith?"
"I've got to go for a few minutes..."
"How come?"
Smith tried desperately to recall some of those old earth idioms
super-cool secret agent types used to say.
"Martini, shaken, not stirred?"
"Huh?"
"Duty calls?"
That one did the trick.
Smith hurried after the TB out the corridor, hoping it wouldn't take
too long.
The lone TB (who Smith had renamed "Ranger") led him to the Blue
Dwarf Cinema.
Smith walked through the automatic doors and an odd sight met his
eyes.
"Hey Smith! Your just in time for movie night! We've got
an..interseting feature tonight! Chris Harris on a date!"
"How morbidly amusing...What poor sod has he convinced to go with
him?"
"Kara."
Smith's eyes nearly popped out of his sockets at that.
"I'll kill him! All over again! That evil conniving smeg! He lost
and I won whats so tough to under-"
"Smith calm down and watch the action! Maybde your overreacting,
Kara doesn't seem like a cheater..."
"We'll see. We'll see very soon..."
