Who: The Big Pink Tree, The Program Clone
Where: Drive Room
When: Just as everyone else escapes onto Efof's monorail

The clone was momentarily frozen as it searched for what it was
meant to do in this situation. Destroying all original crewmembers
was a fairly broad directive, but what precisely did this plantlife
count as?
The Tree had no such qualms, and immediately lurched forwards,
swinging a thick branch in a wide arc that should, by all rights,
have torn the clone in two and sent the two halves hurtling to the
floor. Instead, it simply lifted the clone off its feet and slammed
it into the wall, leaving a huge dent as it slid to the floor and
rose again.
*Rustle,* grunted the Tree, which translated roughly as an
expletive upon the realisation that this was no ordinary clone. Of
course, the Tree had no way of knowing that this was a hard-light
clone - and, as such, completely indestructible.
The clone let out a deep growl as it stood upright again, the
mental conundrum now definitely solved. This Tree was going down.
It leapt, grabbing a low branch, and hauled itself upwards, ripping
away foliage as it did so. The Tree let out a scream of cracks as it
tried to sweep the intruder out of its branches, tearing more of
itself to shreds as it did so. Finally the branch beneath the
clone's feet was snapped away, sending it falling to the floor of the
Drive Room. The Tree, following its instincts, fell upon it and
rolled.
There was a loud crack, then silence. The Tree photosynthesised a
sigh of relief and relaxed for a moment.
With a furious yell, the clone hauled itself out from under the
prone vegetation, pulling with it the remains of its sword, now
snapped in half. For a brief second a warning flashed in its eyes,
regarding the fact that the sword should also have been
indestructible. By now the clone was too incensed, however, and
leapt upon the Tree again, tearing away more branches and causing the
sap to run freely.
The Tree, panicking now, looked around desperately for a way to
escape. The Drive Room door was out of the question - even now, a
small army of clones were probably on their way up here. Which
left...
Without a second thought, the Tree swept up the clone, opened the
disposal hatch used such a short time ago by Dante and Aurora, and
dived in, twisting the clone to be beneath it when it landed.

The two hit the 'ground' with something between a thump and a
squelch. The Tree, not waiting to see the effects of the impact on
the clone, leapt up and bounded away, desperately seeking a way out
of this place. A hatchway above it afforded the perfect opportunity,
and it scrambled upwards...to find itself behind McDonald's
restaurant on the Promenade.
The Tree looked around, and quailed as it saw a large group of
clones heading towards it. They snarled, eyes glowing, and leapt
upon it. These clones seemed a little less resilient, however, and
the Tree made short work of a few dozen of them. More kept coming,
however, threatening to overwhelm the pink creation.
Suddenly there was a yell from above, and a monorail car sped
overhead, crewmembers hanging out of it. The Tree made up its mind
in an instant and, launching itself upwards from the snapping backs
of two clones, grasped the bottom of the car with its uppermost
branches and hauled itself up. Pulling itself inside, it found
itself staring a very surprised Efof in the face.
*Rustle,* it managed, leaning back in a seat.
