"Yes," nodded Cerebrum throughtfully, "But you have to
consider the
other side of it."
"WHAT other side of it?"
"You're not me," pointed out Cerebrum, before shoving
Keto forwards
and following him round the corner.

"GAH!" Keto shouted, firing his weapons and killing the Jay clone in
front of him. He looked down at the body. "I've wanted to do that for a
long time," he mused.
"Well, you've got plenty of opportunities to do it again," Cerebrum
said, pointing at an oncoming horde of Jay clones.
"I think I might need your help for this one," Keto said, as the heavily
armed clones.
"Not to worry," Cerebrum confidently said. "I am completely invulnerable
harm, unless, of course, the ship's AI were to be corrupted and delete
my file to destroy me."
"Why, thank you for mentioning that," Holly said, popping up on a nearby
computer screen. "Time to say good-bye," before vanishing again.
"Uh oh," Cerebrum mused. "That is not good. I'm afraid I'm going to have
to go save my own ass, Keto. Have fun," and the hologram promptly winked
out, off to deal with his own business.
"Cerebrum, you bastard!" Keto screamed, as the dozen clones closed in.
In the simulated reality of the Blue Dwarf's computer system
Dust blew down the streets of the stereotypical western town. Cerebrum
appeared in the street. "Not so fast, buddy," he shouted over to Holly.
"You're not deleting me that easily!"
"Try and stop me!" the corrupted Holly shouted back.
"If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you've got!" Cerebrum yelled. He
wiped out two copies of Norton Antivirus, braced the stocks on his
shoulders and held down on both triggers. "Quarantine and delete, baby!"
he screamed, sending blocks of code hurling towards Holly, who dived out
of the way.
"Hah, I'm not a virus!" he shouted back, adjusting the date in the Blue
Dwarf's computer ahead, causing the two Antivirus programs to cease
functioning until they were officially registered.
Cursing, Cerebrum threw the now useless anti-virus applications aside.
He took a quick second to weave some protections around his holodata,
and then shouted, "Catch me if you can!" and took off into the personnel
files.
Muttering, Holly took off after him, a deltree command sword clenched in
his fist.
A few minutes later
Cerebrum peaked over the top of the file he was hiding behind. Holly was
blocking off the circuit path to where Cerebrum needed to go. Cerebrum
had finally managed to decide that it would be impossible to defeat
Holly, so he had go to plan B. Distract Holly from killing the crew.
Fortunately, there had been some code he had been uncorrupting last week
that would serve admirably to do this. Unfortunately, Holly, by
coincidence, was blocking it off, and Cerebrum was fast enough to dodge
by the deltree command to the code.
Suddenly, Cerebrum's eyes lit up. He saw something that was useful. He
quickly ran around and climbed on top of a large cage. "Over here!" he
shouted. Holly turned, saw him, and began running. Cerebrum hit a button
on top of the cage, activating the restore feature of AdAware.
"Eat this!" Cererum cried, as the horde of spyware, adware and malware
was released from quarantine, and swarmed all over Holly, who cursed
incoherently as Cerebrum ran by, chuckling. He ducked down the circuit
path, and ran to the code he was working it on. It had been corrupted a
long time ago. Fortunately, Cerebrum had access to advanced programming
techniques, thanks to ASS.
"There you are!" Holly screamed, having finally managed to disperse the
spyware. He raised the sword of deltree, and prepared to deal the stroke
to Cerebrum, when Cerebrum finished the final touches on the code.
"Too late, I've finished activating my ultimate weapon!" Cerebrum cried.
A female figure appeared in cyberspace. "Activating subroutine: Kill all
lifeforms," she announced.
"She's a bit indiscriminate," Cerebrum mentioned. "Have fun containing
her." He strolled away, whistling a soundless tune, as Holly had to
devote all of his run-time cycles to keeping the new, unleashed program
from removing all the air from the ship.
