Awkward Silences

Callum was walking Aurora home, he had kinda got over the shyness he had been feeling earlier and he hadnt noticed that they were still holding hands.
"So whats the deel between you and Severn" she asked
"dont know I only met him 5 miniutes before you did"
they had just reached the door to her quarters and there was an akward silence, then he lent in to kiss her...

Aurora was taken aback by Callum's attempt to kiss her, and looked as if she was confused. Callum pulled back, and blushed furiously.
"What's wrong?" he asked, scratching the back of his neck with one hand.
"Oh... Nothing. It's just I was just about to kiss you back but then Celestia told me I shouldn't." She looked apologetic, and gave him a warm smile.
"Okay. I think it's because she doesn't know me much yet..." Callum couldn't believe he was discussing a figment of Aurora's imagining. 'Still, at least it gets me closer to her..' he thought to himself.
"Yeah, you're right. Well, see you later..." Aurora kissed him lightly on the cheek, and opened the door to her quarters. Just as Callum went to follow her, the door to her quarters closed and he was shut out. He didn't mind though; He'd got closer to her than Severn was.
