Canazza exited the airlock in his environment suit, strapped the tether
around the handrail and began to inspect the first Scoop Stanchion.
Luckilly for Canazza they weren't moving, and he didn't really need the
environment suit on, since they were in atmosphere, but frankly, Canazza
wisely reasoned, anything can happen on this ship.
The platform he was on went on the whole length of the arm. He looked down,
the sky scrapers below were moving slightly, the dwarf appeared to be
drifing slightly.
"well, I'd expect that..." he thought, "Nothing wrong with that... There's
nothing wrong at all"
There was a small jolt, "Smeg... what was that?" Canazza's heart was racing,
he began to hyperventilate, "Okay, calm calm calm, nothing wrong, that was
just the stabilisers kicking in, probably just adjusting for drift..."
He looked down again, the skyscrapers seemed to be closer
Horror Gripped Canazza, they were going down, and they were going faster.
All of a sudden the Scoop arm he was on was meters away from a building, He
ducked down and prayed.
There was a loud crash and the sound of Twisting metal. He looked up, inches
away the platform was gone, as was part of the Arm he was standing on.
quickly he detached himself and ran into the door.
he flicked on the com, "Dave *pant* Canazza to main *puff* engineering,
*gasp* Stanchion 4 has gone, *pant* need engineering team, *Huff* and
medic..."
he proceeded to pass out.
