Back on duty

Canazza was currently running along Yellow Corridor 121 away from a bunch of
horrible singing engineers when he bumped into one of his engineering
'buddies', ensign Jonah.
"Ah, Dave" he chortled, "I think there is an engine housing that needs
scrubbed"
"Very funny" Canazza gave him a sarcastic smile,
"So, where have you been for the last three months?"
"You don't know?"
"No, should I?"
"Everyone else seems to, You're not going to burst out into song then?"
"No, do you want me to?"
"Good,"
"You never answered my question..."
"A wormhole trapped me in stasis, I only just got out"
"Oh, and what are you trying to do?"
"Find a commanding officer to report to"
"I can do that"
"You're just an ensign,"
"Wrong, in the last three months i have become a fully fledged officer,"
"What are you incharge of though?"
"Sewage processor maintenance," he chuffed, "and because i'm in charge I
never have to touch it. I can ORDER people to wallow in crap. It's so
satisfying."
It was then the sirens went off
"I'm just glad I reported in before the sirens went off," Canazza checked
the map for his bearings.
"Yes, you'd better get to your post,"
"I suppose so," Canazza looked around for a lift, "I should head for the
promenade"
"Why?"
"Last time I checked i was maintenence officer for Promenade section C"
"Check the rota, it changed last week, you're on ram scoop duty"
Ram scoop duty, manning the large intake scoop at the fore of the ship,
standing out on a stanchion watching that none of it falls off... in an
environment suit no less...
"Atleast the views good" Canazza resigned and headed for the transit system,
"I can only pray that something happens before I get there..."
