Cmdr Niples: "The crush returns"

Niples has become very annoyed lately, a lot of things had been getting on his mind- not to mention the workload he had everyday. He had always wondered how great captains had ever managed to get the work done in time, always won the girl, found time to kick some green slimey alien butt, and still keep their hair in style at the end of the day. He was actually thinking about Captain Kirk from Star Trek, as he was known for over 120 years as being the model starship captain.
But now Niples knew why Kirk had time to do all of this, it was because he had some lowlife-executive to do the dirty work for him.
 
This was what Niples felt like, the Captain was using him. But using' usually means the Captain had to deliberately do something in which to 'use' his first officer, but Cannon didn't seem to do anything, including his work, which was the problem. Niples must have recently also contracted this dreaded disease that was taking the ship by storm. Every emotion he felt, every swearword he said and felt suddenly turned to solid and chased him.
 
And there was something different about Niples life in the last two weeks, he was missing Penny Lloyd. He had fancied the security officer for a long time. Admittedly, she wouldn't give him the time of day- but Niples felt closer to her than any other female on the ship.
And now he was missing her more than ever. He never even told her what she meant to him, maybe if she had never died things would be different.
He swatted off a few more words, including the raincloud above his head which seemed to be pouring only on him.
 
Suddenly he heard a cough in his office. Penny Lloyd stood there, staring at him.
Niples blinked in surprise and rubbed his eyes.
 
"But you- you're...... oh hang on." said Niples, realising what was going on. "You're another bloody hallucination!"
 
"No Guv," said Penny. "I'm real, really I am..."
"yeah yeah," waved off Niples and turned to Phil who was stood behind her. "And I suppose the 21 short people following him are real too are they?"
 
"Well actually, they are hallucinations. But I'm real."
 
Science officer Phil Febuggure who was stood behind her silently nodded to confirm she was telling the truth.
The truth slowly dawned on the commander, a smile grew with the truth, to make one happy Commander.
 
"I used the time machine to bring her back" said Phil, seeing the Commanders smile, and knowing a promotion and pay rise was in the bag.
 
"This is great... this is absolutely great!" said Seymour, as Penny Lloyd wondered why he was so happy to see her.
 
Seymour knew this should be the time, the time he should tell Penny how much he feels about her. That he couldn't live without her.
 
"I need to tell you something..." he started, taking her hand softly.
 
The soft romantic music playing in his head suddenly ceased as she pulled her hand away quickly. "Sorry Guv, I've got to go back to my quarters and take a shower. Nearly dying and then being brought forward in time really takes it out of a girl ya'know."
"Erm, ok." said Seymour.
 
"But I'll come by your quarters later..." she suggested. Niples nearly feinted as the words came out of her mouth, she was coming around to his quarters? That was practically a date wasn't it?
 
He quickly agreed.
 
***Two hours later, in Niples' quarters***
 
"I..um... I love you Penny" said Niples. Then he frowned and said. "No, no, no, that sounds too lame. Maybe if I get her a drink first. Oh Frack! I don't have anything to drink!"
 
He ran around his room looking for something to serve to the major crush of his life. "She'll be here any minute, she'll be here....."
The doorbell chimed. She was here.
 
He let her in. She was wearing a low-cut dress with loose hair which spilled from her head to just above her shoulders. Seymour thought she looked absolutely gorgeous.
Silently, she walked into the room, staring at him. Was she? She was! She was giving Seymour a longing stare.
He backed off, never before having seen Penny like this. She was moving closer to his, staring deeply into his soul, saying nothing. She pushed him onto the couch.
 
Seymour had wanted this for so long, he looked up at her from his sitting position on the couch. She put one knee on the couch, and moved her face up close to his. Then she kissed him, their mouths pressing together , hungrily eating in each others passion.
Penny leaned closer and was now leaning on top of him, Niples never argued or protested, he didn't even suspect anything was wrong. He moved his hand down her body, tracing every contour of her soft skin. She might have been acting compleatly out of character, but people can change can't they?
He wondered if they should really be doing this, after all- he was her superior officer.
 
But it felt so good, and she was so gorgeous, it wasn't as if he was kissing a dog.
 
He was kissing a dog.
He quickly pulled her face away from his, her now-elongated doggy face opened and gave him a sloppy lick. Which tasted of dog biscuits.
Niples immediately shoved the dog off of his and almost barfed due to the taste of dog in him mouth.
"It was a bloody hallucination!" shouted Niples, realising it was a little too perfect.
"Ewww, thats disgusting!"
 
Immediately he ran oput of his quarters to find Phil Febuggure. The man who had sworn that he had brought Penny back from the past.
 
Five minutes later, in Niples' absence. The real Penny Lloyd came to Commander Niples' door and rang the doorbell. She was wearing a tight dress which complemanted her figure excellently.
After ringing the bell a few times, she sighed and walked back to her quarters.
