**Action** "New Allies part 3"
**The Other side of the Space Gate**
The Raven, Endymion and Space Eagle emerged through the portal in
the centre of a huge city.
Sky scrapers towered above them, looming up so high the top could
not be seen, and even their bottoms could not be seen. The Gate was
hovering miles above any kind of ground to the city, but that didn't
seem to matter as there were many platforms all at different levels
that seemed to float in the air. Buildings too were just floating,
some stretched downwards from an unseen roof, some stretched upwards
from an unseen foundation, some even seemed to defy gravity and
stretch horizontally out of other buildings.
Walkways and roads criss-crossed the city to other buildings, but
they didn't seem to be used- vehicles floated around, most with the
standard winged-Aeron style, pedestrians too just seemed to fly
around using the wings on their backs to propel them across the huge
floating city.
Dean in the raven switched to turbine propulsion, and sent a
communication back to the Dwarf.
"Its alright, the gate leads to an atmosphere, a city- with very
very low gravity, the Dwarf should be able to fly through and
sustain itself on manoeuvring thrusters."
Keats and Severn in the Endymion flew around to investigate, Dean in
the Raven hovered around, taking in the sights and Efof in the Space
Eagle hung back by the gate for the Dwarf.
A few minutes later, the gate vibrated slightly and the massive blue
mining vessel entered through slowly. Lots of little vehicles had to
swerve to miss the huge new vessel which had just become part of the
skyline.
The Blue Dwarf parked itself down the main street, its 5 mile long
body just squeezed in, but trapped on all directions by office
blocks and huge glass and concrete shopping centres.
From the nearest building extended a telescopic metal gangway which
snaked up the the Blue Dwarf's docking bay door, another on the
other side extended from a shopping centre and connected to the
Flight bay door.
***Drive Room***
"Well they're definitely keen to have us here!" Said Alotta. Seymour
was deep in thought,
"Yes, almost too keen…." seymour thought suspiciously rubbing his
chin.
Dante's big hand slapped Seymour on the shoulder. "Buck up little
man, I thought it was your idea to come here!"
Seymour winced. "Yes but the Aerons haven't been always entirely too
trustworthy even though we have helped each other before." Seymour
turned fully to Dante. "Okay I'm going to let you use your weapons
whatever they are, we might need them, especially if things get ugly-
these Aerons seem to have a lot more technology than the last ones
we met, and if we have to fight- I'd rather have some advanced
weapons of our own to fight back with."
Dante skipped with joy out of the Drive Room making the floor shake.
All the access hatches and flight bay doors were opened and Blue
Dwarf crew started descending into the city to explore.
<OOC- Okay everyone, a new setting for us all. I haven't said much
about the Aeron culture because I thought we could make it up as we
go along.>
