Even though I haven't finished catching up on all my BD reading yet
I have to state something to everyone here at this time. And While I
know this is Out Of Character comment, I also know that people read
this group more regularly than Parrots.
First, I'd like to Thank David/Canazza and everyone else here for
the July 2003 SOTM award, and say that I'm extremely sorry that I
wasn't able to post my acceptance of the award earlier.
Unfortunately this was due (mostly) because David/Canazza happened
to select me during the 2nd busiest month of the year for me,
(December is the first, and August is 2nd because that's when my
family reunion, & the state & county fair technology exhibits which I
often help out with occur here in Minnesota.)
And this particular August was especially trying month for me for
three reasons -
First, my Brother & his wife seemed to be on the verge of
divorcing which has thrown several of my relatives in a tizzy.
Second, My health took a bit of turn for the worse (I've been
diagnosed with Diabetes), and finally the seemingly all out computer
virus assault kept me quite busy with the companies computers and at
home. So I barely had much time to keep up with my own World of
Cendri sim, let alone the BD sim. In which I was supposed to be a
only co-gm along with a council (whom I once believed would keep me
informed of what was going on.). Hence, I absolutely blind to what
was going on in the game and had no idea that I had recieved the
award. And for that, I do apologise.
But for the latter part, of not being notified that I was supposed to
choose the SOTM or even what was going on in the game, (even after I
had specifically asked for a 'clue in' on the councils message
group), I am *very* disappointed in certain peoples actions -
Particularly David/Onion & Andy/Jay.
I knew there was some discontent towards me due to some of my
opinions concerning certain council matters, but I didn't believe it
rose to this level. So I can't help but feel extermely dismayed by
this, not only because I don't consider myself to be someone who is
unapproachable nor unwilling to compromise in disagreements, But
because I now feel that through these actions (or should I say
inactions?) that I'm not welcome here.
Is this the case? If it is, then I will leave.
But let me make clear, my intent here is not to stir up discontent
within the BD group, but an attempt on my part to get a clear
understanding of what the smeg is going on here.
