Gah! Because I'm catering for the people who make the most of
technology, not waiting for the rest of technology to catch up- i'm
on the forefront of that media wave! Not lagging behind :-)
Anyway Dave about making our own email newsgroup, well i've just
joined another game that I used to be a member of and they've
changed the their own email server system.
But quite frankly i think its limited and annoying.
The archive is basic, they get non of the search archive,
memberlogin, files database, polls, pending member, management
services that yahoo offers.
When I wanted to search the archive for my last posts I had to look
by date, not by post title- and I never remember dates! And when
viewing posts online without yahoos frameset the pages are displayed
in odd formats, mainly involving having to scroll alllllll the way
across to reach the end of a line, then scroll allll the way back
and by that time you've lost which line you were reading.
so i'd rather put up with a few delayed posts and adverts because it
definately outweighs the alternative. Like Becca said, read it
online, I do too and find it much better and easier to refer back to
previous posts too. Plus its all arranged in a nice format and has a
lovely BlueDwarf picture. Aww bless Yahoo's little cotton socks for
making life that much sweeter!
Plus it looks flippin hard to create an new one, we're staying put!
