Re: Rock the dragon...
ooc> i like ffx, and by the way, i completed it... the boss is
INCREDIBLY EASY and it becomes more so when you can beat the 9999
damage barrier FINAL FANTASY RULES... anyway...
The lift descended, *PING* shouted some guy over a speaker, to make
the authentic old lift sound effects... Jack stepped out of the
lift, stuck his left arm out in front of him and held the sword
above his head... and began walking. As he walked, he saw 3 darker
patches on the floor, keeping his eyes on them, he edged further,
*shhhhhhiik* jack froze upon hearing the sound, the coloured plates
weren't moving...
Jack, standing in front of several metal plates, coloured
differently to the rest of the floor, dived toward them as several
large disks flew from the walls, narrowly missing him, and by
narrowly, i mean there were a few hairs on the floor... He rose
again, and so did those metal plates he was keeping his eye on. He
jumped toward them, sword in hand, (imagine the screen fading black,
with white swipes going accross, then a flash, with gunshot sound)
Jack could be seen on one knee, sword held out behind him, with the
gun turrets also behind him, dramatic pause, as they start to fall
in half *BOOOM* classic late explosion... think manga. Jack stood
again, and winced as blood fell from his left arm... The armour
knitted up and closed the wound. He then proceeded, with more
confidence now, toward the centre of the setion he was in, ahead was
an arena type thing, with a narrow tunnel leading up to it... Jack
cautiously walked through it, diving out at the end as another
shhhhhik sound could be heard, more metal disks flew past him in all
directions, some smashing together just above him, mmm, crossfire
said Severn in the control room, in a menacing way... Jack picked
himself up and sped toward the centre of the room, several doors
opened, and robots emerged, they pointed guns at him, and began
firing. Jack, not having had all the training of the alternate
Jack, was hit by several weak laser blasts, he jumped left, then
right, dived back to the left, then pegged it toward the robots,
cutting them in half with a slice from under them, the blade scraped
along the floor, rose up to meet the robot, and split them in half
Jack and both keats smiled, our keats more so, as this looked
impressive to him... Jack felt like he was getting the hang of this
now, he held the sword out to his side, blade facing behind him, and
ran through to the next section.
As he emerged from the tunnel that linked the sections, he fell into
green water, knee high... A wave flew towards him, Jack dived over
it, slicing the water when he got directly above it, landed, spun
round and charged towards the wave, it turned and headed straight
for jack. As soon as they were within striking range, a large
lizard jumped out of the water straight at jacks face, you can just
see the look he had then... Its huge claws moving toward his face.
*BLAM* and the lizard flew to the side, screamed and landed back in
the water. Jack fell over backwards, breathed heavily for a bit...
He rose again, clicked his right arm, blade still in hand, turned
and walked toward the gate to the final section. As he approached
it, he could feel a breeze on the back of his neck, knowing that
there should be no wind here, he stuck the blade directly behind
him, and was thrown forward by the impending explosion, into the
gate *ouch* Keats winced 'thats got to hurt'
Jack picked himself up again and opened the gate. He climbed the
small amount of stairs into the final area, the exit lift at the far
end of the arena, circular in shape, with a tilt toward the centre,
Jack knew that the centre was important, so he walked around it...
'ooh, bad move' said severn from the control room as he pushed a
small blue button, spears protruded from the walls, one impaling
JAcks left arm, as the spears retracted, jack was pulled slightly to
the wall where a strap appeared and attached him to the side of the
arena, he started to try and cut it with the blade, but the centre
of the arena opened up, and a large robot caught his eye, he stopped
trying to cut and just pulled at it. The robot turned towards him
and trained its guns on him... all 12 of them. *gulp* umm, 'said'
jack as they started to open up.
Cue slo mo scene, the laser blasts flying toward jack, and jack
frantically trying to pull himself away from the strap... at the
last minute, the strap tore, and jack flew out of the way of the
lasers, did a back flip to get up, and jumped over the next volley
of laser blasts, one caught him in the foot, but being airborne this
was not real a problem. JAck remained airborne right up to when he
was 2 feet from the robot, he held out his arm, sword in hand, and
as he fell, and span, the sword caught in a bit of its armour, and a
whole plate fell off, Jack landed, but his foot wound hadn't been
sealed. He screamed in pain and alsmost fell over, he just managed
to throw the blade in the direction of the hole in its armour. The
blade penetrated the surface, and the robot began to fall... yes,
towards Jack, lying on the floor... 'oh crap' he said as a grapple
hit him in the back (no, not a hook thank god) and pulled him into
the lift. He sighed and sat against he back of the lift. As it
reached the top, the door opened and a hand reached in and pulled
him up.
"good job" commented alternate jack.
'huh?' jack managed to make a small sound, then sat down heavily,
and without a chair behind him... he just fell
'cheers' he managed before falling asleep.
<tag, what do you think of the training course, bearing in mind,
that was only 'easy>
